Overview
Max QR is a QR code scanner and generator for Android. We design for privacy: QR content is processed on your device and not uploaded. Optional analytics help us improve the app with your consent.
Data We Process
Camera Access: Used solely to scan QR codes. No photos or videos are stored.
QR Content: Decoded content stays on‑device. If you save items, they are stored locally (Room database) and can be deleted from History.
Analytics (Optional): With consent, we collect anonymized usage events (feature usage, screen views) and crash diagnostics to improve stability and UX.
Analytics & Consent
Provider: Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics. Collection is disabled until you grant consent during onboarding or via Privacy Settings. You can withdraw consent at any time.
What We Do Not Collect
- QR content you scan or generate
- Personal identifiers (e.g., name, email)
- Precise location or contact data
Legal Basis
- Consent: Optional analytics and diagnostics
- Legitimate interest: Basic app functionality (on‑device processing)
Sharing & Transfers
We do not sell your data. When enabled, analytics data is processed by Google Firebase under their terms. No QR content is shared.
Retention
Local history remains on your device until you delete it. Analytics data is retained per Firebase defaults and may be aggregated.
Your Rights
You can withdraw analytics consent, clear scan history, and delete locally stored data from within the app.
